FAQ

What is Reformer and HIIT?

Body Evolution is a 50-minute workout that combines the strength training benefits of Reformer Pilates with the fat-burning effects of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). At Body Evolution, we are dedicated to creating a fun and energizing environment, while delivering workouts that are results-oriented, challenging and efficient. We also believe that great customer service, a beautiful and clean studio, the most up-to-date equipment and amazing trainers are key to creating the best fitness experience for our clients.

This is my first time doing Body Evolution. Should I take a private lesson first?

Unlike traditional Pilates, the Body Evolution workout does not require you to start with private sessions. All of our workouts are designed to work in a group setting. Because clients are working out on their own machines, they can modify each exercise to match his/her current fitness level. However, if you have back pain, painful joints, or other medical conditions, it is recommended that you consult your physician before starting any type of fitness regimen. If you have concerns, please contact us and we will be happy to take care of your individual needs.

Is there anything I need to know before my first class?

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled session. We will have you fill out necessary forms and get you acquainted with the studio.

How often should I attend classes at Body Evolution?

Body Evolution is designed to work your muscles to fatigue, at which point you need to rest. Your recovery time will depend on your fitness level and the intensity of your workouts. We recommend 3-4 times per week to maximize results and to allow your body to properly repair and recover. However, some students come as often as 4-5 times per week. We also recommend pairing our Reformer & HIIT classes with our Yoga and Sculpt Yoga throughout the week. Listen to your body and find what works best for you!

What should I bring to class?

* Bring a positive attitude!
* This workout will make you sweat, so bring a towel!
* Water is important. We have a water dispenser or you may bring your own.
* Please turn off your cell phone prior to class.
* Yoga mat if attending a Yoga or Sculpt Yoga class

What should I wear to class?

* Wear comfortable clothing that you can easily move in, much like you would wear to the gym. Try not to wear anything too loose or baggy so that our instructors are able to monitor your form and body alignment.
* Tennis shoes are mandatory.
* Jewelry is not a good idea.
* Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes or lotions/oil.

How do I buy classes, monthly memberships and schedule classes?

Someone is usually available during class hours to answer any questions you may have or assist you in purchasing classes and memberships. We highly recommend that all of our clients become familiar with our secure online booking system so that you can access your account and schedule classes at your convenience. You will be asked to create a profile, username and password. You will also be required to keep a credit card on file for all purchases. Our automated booking system can be found on our homepage at www.bodyevolutionoc.com. Once you have created an account, you will have 24-hour access to weekly class schedules and your own personal account.

How do I schedule a private/semi-private or chartered class?

Simply email us at info@bodyevolutionoc.com or call us at 949-257-2359 if you are interested in learning more about our private, semi-private and chartered classes.

Are my purchases refundable or transferable?

All purchases are final and non-transferable. Some of our memberships require signing a contract for auto-payments. Please make sure that you look these over carefully and fully understand the rules before signing them.

What if I can’t come to class, will I be charged?

Due to a limited number of spaces available in each session, all group classes require a 12-hour cancellation notice or you will be charged a $20.00 cancellation fee. NO EXCEPTIONS.

All private and semi-private sessions require a 12-hour cancellation notice or you will be charged for the private/semi-private session, which will be automatically deducted from your account.

May I bring my children to class if they sit quietly while I work out?

Due to safety concerns, we cannot allow children to stay in the studio while class is in session.
